The South West region of Nigeria in 2022 recorded the most active voice subscribers, with a whopping 63.76 million people using mobile phones. That's a big 29% of all the active subscribers in the country! They talked a lot, it seems.
The North Central region came in second place with 42.5 million active subscribers, 19% of the total. The North West and South-South regions followed closely, with 18% and 15% respectively. The South East and North East regions had 10% and 9% of the active voice subscribers, making them the region with the least active subscribers in the country.
Nigerians nationwide also used a massive 514,502 terabytes (TB) of data in 2022. That's a big jump from the 350,165TB used in 2021. People were browsing the internet, chatting, and watching videos more than ever.
