Regions With The Highest Number Of Girls Given To Marriage Before The Age Of 18 As Of 2023

 A report from Reliefweb says that about 130 million girls and women in Africa got married when they were very young. 

In sub-Saharan Africa, 40% of girls marry before the age of 18, while the region has a global share of 20%. Though, South Asia has the highest percentage of girl children given to marriage before the age of 18 with 290 million (45%) girls.
